Fargo Jet Center has engineered a stronger, more durable inlet cap to enhance the quality and life span of the inlet nacelles. By using a nose cap material that is thicker and three times stronger than production nose caps, our inlets significantly increase resistance to ice and hail damage.

  • Improved nose caps are available for Learjet models: 31, 31A, 35, 35A, 36, 36A, 55
  • Produced under FAA Supplemental Type Certificate number ST01218CH.

What will you need to do?

  • Thorough visual examination including dye penetrant inspection of inner barrel.
  • Remove fasteners and outer skin.
  • Second visual inspection for hidden damage and corrosion.
  • Remove fasteners and inner liner.
  • Conduct appropriate engineering analysis and develop DER-approved repair scheme for propagated cracks and other damage.
  • Repair inner linear damage. Inner linear repair inspected and approved by DER.
  • Repair or replace damaged bulkhead components.
  • Replace inner liner. We use Hi-Lok fasteners (considered better than the original) for all reconstruction.
  • Replace outer skin and air scoop. Air scoop is attached with screws and nutplates to provide access for future inspection.
  • Final inspection.
  • Paint and polish to customer specifications.
